Volunteering in Regina Food Bank

By Eric · 2026-08-17

Volunteering is one of the best way to adapt in Canada, including English, communication, working culture, making friends with different background, and helping people!
What I learn from volunteering at Food Bank: 1. Client-Facing Support: Assisted clients by guiding them through food selection, navigating the check-out process and packing custom items. 2. Inventory Management: Worked in warehouse including sorting, quality checking, restocking and assembling hampers. 3. Collaboration and Communication: Worked closely with manager, staff, and other volunteers as a team in a fast-paced environment.
Volunteering in Regina Food Bank — 2.1
Volunteering in Regina Food Bank — 2.2
Take away: 1. It helps you building connection with people. 2. You can get references from manager potentially.
